Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! I hope everyone has lots of fun wildlife and nature themed plans for 2024 I certainly do! But before we get onto that, I always mark the new year in style with a sunrise trip to Dartmoor and 2024 was not going to be the year I broke tradition!
Most people at 6am on New Year’s day are probably sleeping off the celebrations from the previous night however, not me. It has become an annual tradition for me to watch the sunrise from the same location up on Dartmoor National Park every new year’s day. Not one for parties anyway, it is a great excuse to go to bed before midnight and frankly an awesome way to start the new year. So, continuing with my tradition (now onto it’s 3rd year!) as well as being joined by my awesome cousin, we headed up to the same spot for another sunrise celebration!
This year’s first sunrise may have been the best one yet in terms of weather- It didn’t rain nor was it so windy you couldn’t stand up!
